How Consciousness, Energy, and Breath Shape Our Reality

by | Nov 20, 2024

We live in a world where hustle often outweighs harmony, where we’re urged to chase goals, check boxes, and keep pushing. But what if I told you there’s a deeper layer, an untapped reservoir of energy and insight, lying dormant within you?

That’s what Deseri Garcia and I discovered with Dr. Sue Morter and her work with the Energy Codes. Her insights are so much more than just concepts; they’re an invitation to realign, remember, and breathe our way back to the true self we’ve forgotten.

Here’s what Des and I learned, and here’s what we challenge you to think about:

1. Our Stuckness Isn’t About the Situation; It’s About Our Body’s Energy

How often do you feel “stuck”—in a job, relationship, or state of mind?

Dr. Sue shared that stagnation is often not about external circumstances but about how energy moves (or doesn’t) in our bodies. Our habitual patterns—overthinking, chasing validation, or anxiously checking off our to-do list—pull us away from the body’s natural flow.

By bringing awareness to this flow and consciously engaging it, we can start to unlock creativity and clarity.

Action Step: Try breathing deeply into your belly and exhaling slowly. Notice the areas of your body where you feel tension. Anchor your breath there, allowing it to “unstick” energy that’s been weighing you down.

2. The Power of Breath to Transform Your State

Breath is our simplest, most accessible tool for change. Are you a chest breather?

Dr. Sue emphasized that when we breathe shallowly from the chest, we invite stress and anxiety. But by grounding our breath in our belly, we tap into a calm, creative state where clarity thrives. This small shift can be profound, helping us navigate challenges with a deeper sense of peace.

Action Step: Next time you catch yourself in a stressful moment, take a few deep belly breaths. Slow your inhale, and let your exhale take its time. See what wisdom surfaces when you quiet your mind and return to your breath.

3. Consciousness is Energy That’s Awake—and It’s Here to Help Us Evolve

We’re not just our thoughts, our titles, or our tasks.

We are energy in motion, energy that’s aware. Consciousness isn’t something we have to strive for—it’s something to remember, to awaken within ourselves. By tuning into this wholeness, we realize that we’re equipped to handle challenges in a way that doesn’t feel like a fight but a flow.

Action Step: When you feel your thoughts racing or find yourself seeking external validation, pause. Ground yourself with a few breaths, and remind yourself that everything you need to meet this moment already exists within you.

4. What We Seek, We Find: Harnessing the Quantum Power of Intention

The quantum field isn’t just a concept for scientists; it’s an invitation to recognize the creative power of our thoughts and intentions. When we direct our thoughts with purpose, we actually shape our experience, creating the reality we want to live in. It’s not magic; it’s mindfulness applied with intention.

Action Step: Today, set a clear, positive intention for how you want to feel and experience your day. Maybe it’s calm, maybe it’s curiosity, maybe it’s joy. Hold that intention lightly in your mind, and watch how your interactions and choices subtly align with it.

Final Thought

Living in consciousness isn’t about “fixing” ourselves; it’s about letting go of what keeps us from feeling whole. As Dr. Sue shared, we’re all evolving toward a life where we create, connect, and contribute from a place of wholeness, not fear. The more we live in tune with our body, breath, and awareness, the more we can open ourselves to this richer, fuller experience of life.

So, today, let’s do ourselves a favor: breathe, slow down, and remember who we truly are.
